Flourless Chocolate Cake

I discovered this recipe on the Clover website. It’s a cake that is made up of a few basic ingredients and, if made properly, is heavenly.

This cake, when it’s baking, rises like a loaf of bread. However, as it cools it sinks until it’s about three centimetres thick, but it has the consistency of a solid chocolate mousse. Serve it cold with whipped cream and you will be a hit!

Ingredients
100 g unsalted Clover butter
150 g dark chocolate
150 g milk chocolate
6 eggs, room temperature
Pinch of salt
Clover whipped cream (for serving)

Preparation Method
  • Pre-heat the oven to 180ºC
  • Grease a medium pan with butter and sprinkle with flour. Seal the bottom of the pan with foil
  • Place the butter and chocolate in a mixing bowl
  • Melt in the microwave at a medium strength for 50 seconds
  • Stir to mix thoroughly and allow to cool
  • Beat the eggs and salt with an electric mixer for 15 minutes
  • Use a metal spoon and fold the eggs into the chocolate. (Be patient, it takes time to mix well)
  • Pour in the pan, place in the oven and bake for 30 minutes
  • Take out of the oven and cool totally before removing from the pan
Serve with Clover whipped cream and ENJOY!
